Location and History
This ryokan, one kilometer from Gora Station, has expanded upon Kan-In-No-Miya, a former summer residence of the imperial family. Though the original Elizabethan-styled half-timbered building, now the site of the restaurant, is hardly Japanese, all else is. This place is clearly meant for rejuvenation, and it provides it ably and admirably.
Sightseeing opportunities abound, and with the station so close, it is easy to explore the Hakone area from this vantage point.
