Built in 1927, the Riva Hvar Yacht Harbor Hotel prides itself on location and star-studded appeal. Situated directly opposite the catamaran ferry stop, the hotel's casual waterfront terrace serves as both daytime lounge and center for Hvar's busy nightlife. In the 1960s and 70s this was the spot in Hvar for movie stars and wealthy jet-setters.
Hvar Town is connected to Split on the mainland by catamaran trip and regular ferries from nearby Stari Grad port.
