This hotel sits prominently on one of Interlaken's main streets, surrounded by beautiful historic buildings. It's close to the town's eastern train station, Interlaken Ost, which is a five-minute walk. The river is just behind the hotel, while the town's huge main park, Hohematte, is about an eight-minute walk.
The hotel was built more than 150 years ago and has been in operation ever since, although it has changed hands many times. In recent decades, the German-based Linder Hotel company ran the hotel 2002-2023.
