In the Warehouse district, plunked down next to the WWII Museum, five blocks south of Lafayette Square, a 15- to 20-minute walk from the French Quarter, this hotel rose anew in 2019 as a complement to the neighboring WWII Museum.
A period copycat, inside and out, the hotel has a fabulous WWII-era theme, but departing travelers used to the idiosyncrasies of those fussy French Quarter hotels are apt to recall fine-tuned air-conditioning, angelic plumbing and the numerous elevators over its distinct design.
