Description
Historic gothic-style brick buildings in the heart of Chelsea Gallery District - Rooms overlooking the High Line Park.
Location and History
An exclamation mark on Chelsea's legendary redbrick skyline, this repurposed 1885 Gothic treasure—it was once part of the General Theological Seminary hosting Episcopalian priests—has been transformed into one of Chelsea's most engaging hotels.
Set back well off 10th Avenue, the hotel is fronted by a large parklike garden; the other half is currently a cheeky pop-up cafe, with Intelligentsia espresso served from a 1963 Citroen van.
With the 20th Street staircase to the High Line just across the street, this hotel is aptly named.
