Location and History
Naia Resort and Spa encompasses nearly 20 acres of the 200-plus acres of Cocoplum Community along the Placencia peninsula. The town of Placencia is only a short drive away, and the resort is within the vicinity of Jaguar Bowling Lanes and Placencia Beach.
It is the pet project of Stewart Krohn, who has a long history in Belize, including starting Belize's first television station.
Unlike many resorts, which tear down vegetation and disturb wildlife habitats to build, Krohn has done the exact opposite by planting tons of additional mangroves.
