Tierra Atacama occupies a quiet site on the outskirts of the village, with views of the Andean crest in the distance. Reached by a dusty desert road, it consists of two wings, separated by drip-irrigated gardens, set around a cozy main house and spa that exudes luxury comforts and local style.
Since last inspection, it underwent a $20 million renovation that touched up every corner of the property during a one-year closure. More than 40 local artisans and designers lent their talents and expertise, often incorporating regional materials such as travertine stone from the area's salt flats and reclaimed wood.
