Located at Cliff Drive and Castillio Street, adjacent to Pershing Park, three short blocks from the harborfront promenade, this is Best Western Plus Pepper Tree Inn's snappier sibling—a smaller, attractive option with a more central location, lots of free perks and only slightly higher rates.

Planted midblock, the hotel is easy to find, just look for the Chevron station dressed in early California garb. The hotel, too, is dressed up in early Spanish Mission fashion, with terra-cotta tile roofs, stucco walls and colorful hand-painted tiles that anchor the look to the era.
