Constructed in 1915 and originally a bustling warehouse used for exporting wool, this upscale design hotel with industrial detail is part of the fashionable Woolloomooloo Wharf, which comprises the hotel, multimillion-dollar residences, and dining, retail and entertainment venues.
The iconic, blue-trimmed structure, also known as Finger Wharf, is approximately 1,400 feet long and is the world's largest piled-timber construction.
Its location, separated from the Sydney Opera House by the Royal Botanical Gardens, is as good as it gets here, although water views are confined to a harbor inlet and its local yachting traffic.
