Location and History
Uchisar is the highest point in central Cappadocia and consists of a tiny town built around a tall rock tower, the top of which is called Uchisar Castle. The town extends a short distance onto a plateau on the south side of the rock pinnacle. Argos is situated on the northern edge of Uchisar, which drops off almost vertically into Pidgeon Canyon. The property commands panoramic views into the rocky canyon and out across the larger Cappadocia region from nearly every point at the hotel and from most guest rooms.
