The 2019 Seatrade Cruise Global conference opened in Miami with the annual State of the Industry panel and a new keynote titled 'The Rise of Female Leadership in the Cruise Industry.'

Lucy Hockings of BBC World News moderated the State of the Industry panel, with CEOs from left: Pierfrancesco Vago of MSC Cruises, Richard Fain of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., Arnold Donald of Carnival Corp. and Frank Del Rio of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.

Hockings also moderated a new panel about female leadership in the industry, which featured Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line; Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises; and Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises.
