ACAPULCO, Mexico
-- Mexico is gearing up for the 31st annual Tianguis Turistico
trade show, scheduled from March 26 to 29 in Acapulco.
A one-stop
shopping opportunity for international and local buyers and sellers
of tourism, Tianguis is credited with generating as much as 40% of
Mexico's annual tourism sales as a result of agreements inked at
the trade fair, according to organizers.
Last year's show
attracted some 1,100 buyers, including tour operators, travel
agents and meeting planners from 25 countries, as well as 300
Mexican suppliers.
Mexican President
Vicente Fox is scheduled to attend this year's trade
show.
