New and refurbished venues are coming to the Disneyland Resort's Downtown Disney District in 2018, including craft brewer Ballast Point, which will open its first Orange County location in Downtown Disney later this year.

In addition to its standard beer selection, including the flagship Sculpin IPA, Ballast Point will serve limited-edition beers available only at Downtown Disney. The space will house Downtown Disney's first on-site brewery, as well as a tasting room, kitchen and outdoor beer garden.

New York-based Black Tap Craft Burgers & Beer will open its first California location in Downtown Disney later this year.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes, offering food, drinks, bowling and entertainment, will be opening on Jan. 29. The Downtown Disney location will feature 20 bowling lanes, four indoor and outdoor dining areas, some 25 flat-screen TVs and live entertainment every day of the year.

Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria is undergoing renovations to expand its patio, and three wood-burning ovens are being installed. The restaurant will remain open throughout construction, which is slated to be completed in fall 2018. Quick-service Italian restaurant Napolini will also remain open while undergoing renovations.

In addition to the dining enhancements, Downtown Disney recently added a virtual reality experience called Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire by ILMxLAB and The VOID. Participants are transported into the Star Wars universe, where teams of four people go undercover as Stormtroopers to obtain imperial intelligence and help the rebellion.

The World of Disney, a store selling a large selection of Disney toys, souvenirs, accessories and collectibles, is being refurbished and will remain open for shopping during the majority of the refurbishment, expected to be completed in phases throughout 2018.

The new Disney Home store, selling Disney-themed home goods, will open in February 2018 in the former D-Street location.

The Downtown Disney District connects the Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park with the three on-property hotels at the Disneyland Resort. The destination includes stores and eateries such as Starbucks, La Brea Bakery Cafe, The Lego Store, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen and Sephora.

The Downtown Disney District parking lot offers three hours of free parking with validation and a $20 minimum purchase from any Downtown Disney location. Guests get up to five hours of parking with validation from any Downtown Disney table-service restaurant or the AMC Downtown Disney 12 movie theatre.
