Downtown Grand tops out third tower: Travel Weekly

The Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino recently marked a construction milestone, topping out a room tower to open this year.

The seven-story building in downtown Las Vegas, adds 250,000 square feet of hospitality space to the property, including 495 new rooms, which will bring the property's room count to 1,124. There will be 67 studio units, 20 one-bedroom suites and three Presidential Suites. Booking will begin this spring for stays starting in September.

The goal of the expansion is to give the property an increased street-level presence and a dynamic new entrance to the hotel's casino floor, resort officials said. An increased number of suites will provide a "boutique hotel experience" for guests.

The Downtown Grand, which currently has 629 rooms in two existing towers, is also expanding its fitness center. Located in the existing casino tower, the upgraded gym will offer more than 1,500 square feet of workout space with a combination of machines and free weights.

The resort is a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Connect collection.
