Large resorts in the Florida Keys started reopening on June 1, as the two-month ban on nonresident visits to the archipelago was lifted.

The 60-acre Hawks Cay Resort on Duck Key reopened at limited occupancy with new cleaning protocols that include cleaning and sealing rooms before guest arrival and suspension of daily housekeeping.

Dining venues at the resort will have reduced capacity and new takeout package options. Menus will be available digitally to smart phone users.

In Marathon, the 24-acre Isla Bella Beach Resort reopened on June 1 at 50% capacity, and has also implemented new cleaning and health standards.
