The Hilton Altamonte Springs, located about 20 minutes north of downtown Orlando, unveiled a $5.6 million renovation of the entire property in mid-March.
Guestroom enhancements include upholstered headboards, noise-buffering carpet and 50-inch HDTVs. The wallpaper, carpeting and lighting in the hallways and common guest areas are also new, designed to complement the modern blue and grey motif in the guest rooms. The fitness center also received an upgrade with new machines, new flooring and a sauna.
Frank Cirrincione, general manager of the Hilton Altamonte Springs, said he feels that guests will be "universally impressed" with the renovation, which touched virtually every surface of the hotel. According to Cirrincione, the hotel draws a mix of corporate and leisure clients, and the refit was done with both groups in mind.
Business travelers will appreciate two new Parlor Rooms, which include a minibar, sitting area and 10-person conference table and are connected to a standard king room. The executive lounge offers evening hors d'oeuvres and breakfast for Hilton Executive Level travelers.
