Two Florida beach resorts, one in Naples and the other in the Florida Keys, will reopen to guests on Dec. 15, after recovering from damage due to Hurricane Irma.

During its three-and-a-half month closure, the Naples Grande Beach Resort underwent a multimillion-dollar refresh from its lobby to the top of the 18th floor. Most public spaces  including elevators, most restaurants and meetings rooms  as well as the tower guestrooms have been refreshed, repainted and updated with the resort's coastal chic aesthetic. The pools and lush landscaping were also part of the project.

Rather than relying entirely on outside contractors, staff helped with painting, landscaping, and cleaning throughout all 23 acres.

"It's been a challenging few months, but we're excited and eager to come back stronger than ever," said director of sales and marketing Frank Cavella. "We're so thankful for the support of the Naples community, and specifically our hardworking staff, to get us back in the business of hospitality and memory making."

The Amara Cay Resort in the Florida Keys will also reopen on Dec. 15.

Recognized in November as a "Top Resort in the Florida Keys" by the readers of Cond Nast Traveler, the Amara Cay Resort will open its 110 guestrooms and suites, wedding venues, Reelburger restaurant and a new resort pool and lush lawns.

"I am incredibly grateful to the dedicated team of construction workers and associates who worked diligently to restore Amara Cay Resort," said Eddie Sipple, area general manager of the Islamorada Resort Co., which owns and operates the resort. "We are reopening this resort with pride and a true sense of community."

The resort is marking the reopening with a holiday offer for travel between Dec. 15 and Jan. 15. Visitors who stay for three nights will enjoy savings of 30%.  The special can be booked online or by calling (305) 664-0073 with code HOLIDAY.
