While fires in Los Angeles County continue to burn, the Los Angeles Convention Center is operating as usual, with scheduled events proceeding as planned.

"Currently, there have been no reports of fire near the Downtown Los Angeles area where the convention center is located," the venue said on its website, adding that it remains in close communication with the LA City Tourism Department, Mayor's Office and the city's Emergency Management Department.

The SoCal Cup's Open Championship boys volleyball tournament is slated to happen as scheduled Jan. 18-20, and so is Fit Expo LA 2025 on Jan. 25 and 26.

The BHN Group by Northstar said it will proceed with its Americas Lodging Investment Summit, ALIS Design+ and ALIS Law hotel events the week of Jan. 27.

In an email to attendees, the BHN Group said that the JW Marriott, Ritz-Carlton and other host hotels are not in the path of fires, and that flights into Los Angeles have experienced minimal disruption.
