The Resort at Longboat Key Club in Sarasota has completed more than $4 million in renovations to its spa and upgrades to its two golf courses.
Over the past year, the AAA Four-Diamond resort completely refurbished all of the treatment rooms inside the 9,000-square-foot spa, locker rooms and restrooms and added separate men’s and women’s relaxation rooms and retail space.
Both of the resort’s two championship golf courses, Harbourside and Islandside, were resodded with paspalum grass. The resort also added nearly 200 golf carts and built seven miles of new cart paths. Locker rooms and restrooms at the Harbourside course were also renovated.
“Our golf courses and spa are some of what keeps our guests coming back year after year,” said Jeff Mayers, general manager. “We want to make sure that whether it’s their first or 31st time at our resort, they’re able to enjoy an enhanced and unparalleled experience.”
New furniture was also added to the resort’s six on-site restaurants and outdoor spaces as part of the renovation project.
