G Adventures is getting into the game of sports tourism with a slate of new offerings.
The tour operator will lead its first small-group soccer trips to Europe; the Away Games collection consists of more than 30 departure dates beginning in October.
The new itineraries come as soccer fans around the globe buzz with excitement from the World Cup.
Combining live matches with cultural experiences through the lens of soccer, the trips will visit destinations such as Manchester, England; Madrid and Barcelona.
Additional Spanish departures will be added next month once Madrid and Barcelona announce their matches.
"At G Adventures, we've always believed travel is about human connection, and there are few communities more passionate, emotional and united than football fans," said Yves Marceau, the vice president of product at G Adventures.
Travelers will enjoy VIP club-level seating, premium lounge access and hospitality packages on their trips. When they're not watching matches, guests will learn more about the sport and local culture while on their tour with behind-the-scenes access to stadiums, visits to pubs and food tours.
