Telluride Ski & Golf closed a deal with Peaks Capital Partners to take over the Peaks Resort and Spa July 24.

The 117-room ski-in/ski-out, full-service hotel, located adjacent to the Telluride Ski & Golf Club, features a 42,000-square-foot spa with 32 treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and 9,100 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

“This deal was a natural fit for us as a company,” said Greg Pack, president and general manager of Telluride Ski & Golf, adding that The Peaks, one of the flagship properties of the destination, is “fundamentally important to the success of Telluride as a whole.”

The ski resort, which will take over hotel operations, also purchased more than 73,000 square feet of commercial real estate space, including the spa and fitness center, restaurants, meeting and banquet space.

Telluride Ski & Golf will also assume operation of the See Forever condominium association and rental unit management program. See Forever is located next to the Peaks and comprises two-, three- and four-bedroom cabins and condos.

The acquisition marks the second hotel deal for the resort, which purchased the Inn at Lost Creek in April 2013.
