An expanded menu of Concierge Collection excursions is now available to guests visiting Alaska with Windstar Cruises.

The small-group shore excursions add like-a-local experiences to select itineraries through culinary, cultural and nature-inspired activities.

Among this year's 44 new Concierge Collection options is a fishing and wilderness dining experience in Ketchikan, where guests learn about Alaska's sustainable fishing efforts while fishing for halibut, rockfish, and salmon and other species in Tongass National Forest waters. From there, travelers work with a local chef to cook and sample their own catch.

"At Windstar, we are out to own destination authenticity and deliver the destination experience better than anyone else with more immersive tours, more overnights and longer hours in port to explore. Our teams, who carefully craft each excursion, are the clever architects of our guest's vacation, designing each experience to top the last one," said Windstar President John Delaney.

Concierge Collection details are at Windstar's website.
