Since the door plug blowout on Alaska Airlines flight 1282, Boeing has been in the news constantly: A temporary grounding of the 737 Max 9, investigations and fallout from the Alaska flight, and also the problems of production delays and new orders. Airline executives, regulators, politicians and the flying public have all voiced concerns about Boeing -- all leading up to the resignation of CEO David Calhoun, who said March 25 (the day this episode was published) that he will depart the company at the end of this year.
