2014 Developments

• Acquired Plaza Travel, based in Dallas. The agency has a balanced mix of business, specializing in VIP services for corporate, vacations and group travelers.

• Expanded application of real-time intelligence to the reservation and ticketing processes. This effort started with the company’s integration into Concur Risk Management.

• Now providing consulting services on the complete travel and entertainment expenditure. To accomplish this, integrated with Concur Expense to apply business intelligence to both travel and expense spend. This is leveraged for policy exceptions and other processes that typical travel reporting tools do not currently report on. This enables Adelman to manage the complete trip cost and report on items beyond air, car and hotel to include meals, mileage, entertainment and other expense data.

• Introduced a loyalty rewards segments to its portfolio, which enables the company to transact on credit card reward business as a means to fulfill travel points while expanding services to the small and midsize business markets.

Looking Ahead

• Expanding customer service and VIP offerings. Latest service initiative focuses on the end traveler, providing them with access to the same resources regardless of whether they are on a mobile device, tablet or desktop. Each traveler will have his or her own customized portal, enabling Adelman to funnel specific information, policy or product to the individual traveler’s level, providing them with easy access and customization. VIP services and products will also be customized on a per traveler basis.

• Expanding capabilities through the Global Gateway solution, a global reporting back office. The solution enables customization based on the customer and existing agency partnerships. Objective is to expand Global Gateway by incorporating multiple GDS systems around the world, leading to improved global reporting and deployment of technologies and services on a global basis.
