AccessAir, the Iowa-based new entrant that flies from the Midwest
to New York and Los Angeles, is adding two 737s -- its third and
fourth -- and is expanding its service to include Colorado Springs,
Colo.
The airline will begin the Colorado Springs service June 1 with
a daily nonstop to Los Angeles and a daily to New York (LaGuardia)
that will stop in Des Moines and in Moline, Ill. By June 24, with
Transportation Department approvals, the carrier plans to offer
three dailies from Colorado Springs to Los Angeles and New
York.
Those approvals include a request for more slots at LaGuardia,
which would enable AccessAir to add the third daily. Fares on the
Colorado Springs flights will range from $79 to $199 each way.
