WASHINGTON -- AccessAir, a Des Moines, Iowa-based start-up,
revealed its fare structure as it prepared to begin flights for
Midwest travelers to both coasts.
The airline was slated to launch service Feb. 3 from Des Moines
to New York (LaGuardia) via Moline (Quad Cities) or Peoria, Ill.,
and Feb. 4 nonstop to Los Angeles, all on 737 aircraft.
The one-way "corporate coach" fare will be $249, with a 21-day
advance-purchase price of $199. The advance-purchase requirement
will be waived for travel in February. The carrier is offering an
introductory economy class fare at $198 roundtrip and a $99 one-way
fare for youths, seniors, families and groups for tickets purchased
by Feb. 28 for travel completed by May 9. After March 1, the
economy class fare will be $298 roundtrip and the one-way fare
$129.
AccessAir also is offering a Valentine's Day two-for-one
deal.

The carrier, paying 10% commission with no caps, said it is
listed in CRSs and eventually will be bookable through them. It
also plans to join the Airlines Reporting Corp.
