Avianca will launch two new U.S. routes in late March.

The Colombian carrier, which emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in December, will begin daily service between New York JFK and the coastal Colombian city of Cartagena on March 28.

The airline will begin thrice-weekly service between Orlando and Medellin on March 29.

Avianca also said Tuesday that it will resume operations between Miami and Cartagena, with daily service beginning March 27. That route has been suspended since the onset of the pandemic in March 2020.

Avianca currently serves 10 U.S. airports: Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, New York JFK, Washington Dulles, Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston Bush Intercontinental, and San Jose and Ontario, Calif.
