Delta will begin flying from Atlanta to Riyadh on Oct. 23. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 19.
The carrier announced the route in late October, but had not provided a launch date.
Atlanta-Riyadh will be the first Saudi Arabia route by a U.S. airline, and it aligns with Delta's plan to partner with start-up state-owned Riyadh Air. Saudia is the only airline that currently connects Saudi Arabia nonstop to the U.S, offering three routes from Jeddah (New York JFK, Washington Dulles and Los Angeles) and two from Riyadh (Dulles and JFK).
Delta will fly Atlanta-Riyadh with an Airbus A350-900 equipped with business, premium economy and economy cabins.
