Hickory joins ARC board: Travel Weekly

Hickory joins ARC board

WASHINGTON -- Hickory Travel Systems joined ARC's agent-airline joint advisory board for a two-year term, filling a seat left by Giants, which just finished a term.

The joint advisory board, which consists of six agency and six airline representatives, reviews all agent-related proposals before they go to the airline-only ARC board of directors.

On the agency side, ASTA, ARTA and AAA have permanent seats; the other three seats are rotated every two years.

Carlson Wagonlit Travel and American Express are midway through terms.

On the airline side, seats are held by American, Delta, America West, Northwest, United and Southwest.
