Qatar Airways will join the Oneworld airline alliance, according to media reports.
While neither the alliance nor Qatar immediately replied to inquiries, Oneworld next Monday in New York plans to announce a "significant membership development," according to a media invitation.
Qatar would be the first of the three big Gulf carriers — also including Emirates and Etihad — to join a major global air alliance.
