PORTLAND, Maine -- Auto Europe, a car consolidator that specializes
in serving North Americans traveling to Europe, introduced a
revamped agent loyalty program, called the 2000 Travel Agent
Rewards Program.
The revamped program features increased commissions, discounts,
bonus payments and fam trips.
Commissions on all rentals, including prestige cars and motor
homes, is 20.01%.
In addition, agents get two free days of rental for every
booking.
Instead of taking the two free days, agents can get a 25%
discount on any rental and a 50% discount on any Mercedes or
prestige model car.
The company's European fam trips, which include a roundtrip air
ticket to London, Paris or Frankfurt, and a weeklong car rental,
are open to agents who book 25 European rentals or an assortment of
products (10 car rentals, 20 air tickets and 20 room nights) from
the firm's tour division, Destination Europe.
Auto Europe also is offering a $10 bonus for rentals booked
through its Web site, www.autoeurope.com. This is in addition to the 20.01%
commission.
To qualify for the program, reservations must be made by March
