NEW YORK -- Off-season discounts that can save clients up to 50% on
rail passes are available for the first time on Eurail Saverpasses
and Eurail Saver Flexipasses, rail suppliers announced.
The passes, which can be used in 17 European countries, must be
validated and used between Sept. 16 and Dec. 15. With the discount,
the Eurail Saverpass for 15 consecutive days of travel costs $269
per person for two to five people traveling together, compared to
the regular price of $458.
A Eurail Saver Flexipass, valid for two to five people traveling
together for a designated amount of days within a two- month
period, is priced at $317 per person for 10 days (regularly $540),
and a 15-day pass is priced at $418 per person (regularly $710).
Additionally, during the promotion, up to four children age 4 to 11
travel free when accompanied by adults using any version of the
Eurailpass. All Eurail products are available through DER Travel
