Priceline.com, Stamford, Conn., began selling car rental bookings
to customers who buy airline tickets through its
name-your-own-price service.
Customers whose air ticket offers are accepted will receive an
e-mail from Priceline.com asking if they want to book a car rental
with one of the two participating vendors, Budget and National.
Priceline.com plans to unveil a name-your-own-price system for
car rentals in the first quarter of 2000.
