HUNT VALLEY, Md. -- Cendant Business Services will unveil a rewards
program for its multipurpose MasterCard during the National
Business Travel Association convention.
The program gives points to cardholders when they use the
Cendant MasterCard for travel and entertainment purchases, Cendant
said. The card, launched earlier this year through Paymentech, a
Dallas-based bank, was the industry's first to combine the
functions of travel and entertainment cards with a fleet card and a
purchasing card.
Bonus points are awarded for purchases with preferred suppliers
and from Cendant companies, such as Avis, Days Inn and Ramada.
Cendant, which owns the travel agency business formerly operated
by CUC International, can reward cardholders with airline tickets,
hotels, rental cars and time-share vacations booked through the
agency.
The NBTA convention will be held Aug. 2 to 5 in Orlando,
Fla.
