Atlantis resort to join Marriott's Autograph Collection: Travel Weekly

Atlantis Paradise IslandAtlantis Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas, will join Marriott International's Autograph Collection, a portfolio of more than 60 independent hotels.

The 3,400-room Atlantis will be Autograph's first resort in the Bahamas and will be the largest hotel in the collection.

Atlantis will have access to Marriott International's global sales and reservation system as well as the Marriott Rewards program.

Atlantis, owned by Brookfield Asset Management and independently managed, will join the Autograph Collection in the fall. At that time, the resort will be available in Marriott's booking channels.

"Having Atlantis Paradise Island join our Autograph Collection is a milestone achievement for the brand and the company," said Arne Sorenson, president and CEO of Marriott International.

George Markantonis, president and managing director of Brookfield Hospitality and Atlantis, said the partnership with the Autograph Collection "could arguably be the single most significant tourism stimulus for the Bahamas in this decade. The partnership will help grow visitation of Marriott loyalists to this country and open a broader channel for guests around the world to visit Atlantis."
