ATLANTA -- Ritz-Carlton won the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality
Award, a yearly award given by the Department of Commerce, for the
second time. Ritz-Carlton's first award was in 1992, and the
company is the only hotelier to have won the award.
The Baldrige award recognizes quality management and is given
yearly to a handful of U.S. companies.
