MINNEAPOLIS,
Minn. -- Carlson Hotels Worldwide launched a new generation of its
hotel loyalty program that enables members to quickly accumulate
points and redeem them.
As part of the
launch, Carlson also initiated a nationwide campaign, including
advertisements on CNN Internationals Business Traveller program, in
USA Today and via innovative media outlets at select
locations.
Carlson said that
under the redesigned Goldpoints Plus program, members can now earn
points when staying at any of the 800 participating Radisson Hotels
& Resorts, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Country Inns &
Suites By Carlson and Park Inn locations worldwide including
Carlson-affiliated hotels in the Americas and partner properties
operated by Rezidor SAS Hospitality in Europe, the Middle East and
Africa.
Goldpoints Plus
offers three levels of membership: Base, Silver Elite and Gold
Elite. At the Elite tier levels, Carlson said guests have an even
greater earning potential, with 50% and 75% bonuses respectively on
the points earned on hotel stays.
To earn free room
nights, members need 15,000 to 60,000 points, depending upon the
Carlson hotel brand and location. Points are accrued faster by
booking rooms online, according to Carlson. Members earn 1,000
points for rooms booked at Carlson hotel branded Web sites or at www.goldpointsplus.com.
Members also have
more places to redeem points through the Gold Points Reward
Network, which includes more than 100 name-brand online retail
partners plus an array of award options such as dining, gift
certificates and merchandise options from leading brands. The
network also includes T.G.I. Fridays and Radisson Seven Seas
Cruises, both Carlson-owned companies.
