ORLANDO -- Hard
Rock International and Intrawest Corp. entered into an agreement to
develop lifestyle condominium hotels.
The deal comes via
Hard Rocks Lifestar Hotels group, its joint venture with Sol Melia
Hotels, and will put Hard Rock Hotel-branded, four-star properties
at select Intrawest resort destinations around the
world.
Principles said the
location of the first Hard Rock-branded hotel will be announced in
the coming weeks.
"Our resorts are
known for their animated pedestrian villages and a Hard Rock Hotel
location will become a central meeting place for all visitors,"
said Gary Raymond, president and CEO, Intrawest
Placemaking.
"Our agreement with
Intrawest reinforces our strategic initiative to partner with
industry leaders and to facilitate our growth," said Trevor
Horwell, vice president of Hard Rock Hotels.
