The JW Marriott Hotel Berlin has opened following a redevelopment of the former Hotel Berlin Central District.

The 505-room luxury hotel is adjacent to the city's 500-acre Tiergarten. The refreshed interiors draw design inspiration from the neighboring parkland, showcasing a color palette of dark green and warm browns and a collection of nature-inspired artworks.

The hotel is also home to eight food-and-beverage venues, all of which skew heavily toward locally sourced fare.

Culinary highlights include the first German outpost of the brand's JW Steakhouse, as well as a casual all-day café called the Berlin Baking Company and Market Restaurant, which sources its herbs from an onsite garden.

Other highlights are an expansive spa featuring a swimming pool, sauna, steam bath and two treatment rooms; two fitness centers; and 67,700 square feet of meeting and event space.

The JW Marriott Hotel Berlin is the brand's second property in Germany, joining the JW Marriott Hotel Frankfurt.
