The all-inclusive Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa has opened in the Rose Hall section of Montego Bay on the site of the former Palmyra Resort & Spa.

The resort is across from the Montego Bay Convention Center.

The Palmyra opened in December 2010 and was placed in receivership by lenders in August 2011. It was acquired by Jamaica's Sagicor Investments Ltd. in 2016.

The Jewel resort has three beachfront towers and 11 villas for a total of 217 accommodations options, 12 culinary venues, butler services and a villa-designed Grande Spa with Jamaica's only Himalayan Salt Halotherapy Lounge.

Jewel Grande is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality.

A grand opening special offers a discount of up to 50% off through Dec. 23 on rates from $309 per person, per night, double.

After Dec. 23, winter season rates start at $553 per person, per night, double.
