The all-inclusive Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa has
opened in the Rose Hall section of Montego Bay on the site of the former
Palmyra Resort & Spa.
The resort is across from the Montego Bay Convention Center.
The Palmyra opened in December 2010 and was placed in
receivership by lenders in August 2011. It was acquired by Jamaica's Sagicor
Investments Ltd. in 2016.
The Jewel resort has three beachfront towers and 11 villas
for a total of 217 accommodations options, 12 culinary venues, butler services
and a villa-designed Grande Spa with Jamaica's only Himalayan Salt Halotherapy
Lounge.
Jewel Grande is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality.
