The Kimpton St Honore Paris opened Aug. 23, representing the IHG Hotels and Resorts subsidiary's entry into the French market.

Situated in the Opera District in an art nouveau building dating to 1917, the 149 rooms, including 26 suites, feature balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The Kimpton St Honore includes Montecito Restaurant and Bar on the ground floor, a contemporary take on the casual brasserie with Pacific Northwest touches, such as French caviar and hand-rolled, house-smoked taquitos and gourmet truffle mozzarella flatbread. On the 10th floor there is a rooftop bar and garden, Sequoia, featuring 360-degree views of the City of Light.

The hotel's mezzanine area will provide coffee and tea for guests in the mornings and become a happy hour social area with complimentary drinks in the afternoons. The hotel also has a gym, a spa and an indoor, heated swimming pool.

"Paris is renowned for its art, design and rich culture, which is why it's a great location for the newest Kimpton opening, a global flagship," Christophe Laure, IHG area general manager, Paris, said in a statement.

Rooms at the Kimpton St Honore Paris start from $520 per night.
