A Ritz-Carlton will be built in Japan's Northern Kanto region known for its temples, shrines and natural beauty.

Ritz-Carlton Nikko, which is slated to open in 2020, will be located on the eastern shores of Lake Chuzenji and south of Mount Nantai. The 94-room hotel will offer either mountain or lake views from every room.

The property, situated near Kego Falls about 100 miles north of Tokyo, will provide guests access to nearby Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines as well as Nikko National Park.

The hotel, which will be developed by Tobu Railway Co., will also have a spa as well as a private "onsen," or Japanese hot springs.
