Airbnb has added a business travel service and has inked a deal with Concur, a provider of corporate travel technology solutions.
The Concur agreement, scheduled to take effect this fall, will enable Concur TripLink customers to reserve Airbnb inventory and capture the booking data. TripLink will pre-populate expense reports with Airbnb booking info.
The new Business Travel on Airbnb service lets travelers perform customized searches for accommodations and meeting spaces. Airbnb said that more than 30 companies, including Evernote, Eventbrite and Lyft, have signed up for the service.
Airbnb estimates that almost 10% of the site’s bookings are from business travelers.
“We know Airbnb isn’t for every road warrior, but for larger groups, longer stays, and relocations, Airbnb offers inspired spaces in memorable places to make the most of any type of travel,” said Chip Conley, Airbnb’s head of global hospitality.
Conley, the founder and former head of boutique hotel company Joie de Vivre, joined Airbnb last September to fill the new role of head of global hospitality.
