Three new productions are coming to Margaritaville at Sea's new ship, the Beachcomber, and they will traverse musical genres.
"Friday Night Country," a contemporary country music show, will have the ambience of a music festival and include sing-alongs and acrobatics.
"Red, White and Margaritaville" will be the most theatrical new show, combining classic rock with large-scale staging and illusion.
"Club Fuego" will have a club atmosphere and feature contemporary Latin hits. There will be two editions: an all-ages experience and an adults-only edition later in the evening.
The three shows represent a transition for the cruise line toward larger-scale and more technically advanced productions. Each show will be performed multiple times on every sailing.
They are intended to "capture the energy, escapism and sense of fun that define our brand," said vice president of entertainment Karen Maybury.
The Beachcomber will also have a music venue designed by artist Zac Brown called Same Boat.
The Beachcomber will debut for Margaritaville at Sea in January. It will sail weeklong cruises from Miami.
The ship is sailing its final season for Costa Cruises as the Costa Fortuna.
