Expedia has begun accepting digital currency Bitcoin for hotel bookings.
Expedia, the most popular online travel agency among Americans, will let travelers use Bitcoin to pay for bookings at more than 290,000 hotels. Expedia is working with third-party Bitcoin processor Coinbase.
Bitcoin estimates that more than $1.5 billion in Bitcoin currency was exchanged per day as of last August.
