Contiki has launched ContikiU, an elearning program for agents featuring training on its trips and destinations

According to Contiki, the program also includes insight into the tour operator's core audience, 18- to 35-year-olds.

The first ContikiU course focuses on the Contiki brand, including its history, products, philosophy and facts, the tour operator said. Following are regional courses (for instance, a course focusing on Europe), as well as courses on identifying Contiki customers, selling to millennials and group bookings. There are 12 courses in total.

The tour operator said the courses are "easy to complete," and will give agents access to fam trips, discounts, incentives and more.

"We know millennials and have seen more and more that they are willing to seek the expertise of travel agents," Contiki president Melissa da Silva said in a statement. "We want to help agents understand the millennial audience and ensure that they are knowledgeable of our products. ContikiU will further enhance our commitment to our valued travel agent partners and provide them with the insight and expertise they need to be successful."

ContikiU is part of TTC Agent Academy, the Travel Corporation's travel agent platform that includes Contiki, Trafalgar, Insight Vacations and Uniworld.
