General Tours World Traveler has added Borneo to its destination lineup for 2013.
The tour operator has introduced an 11-day Wildlife of Borneo itinerary as part of its Small Group Adventures program (trips that take no more than 16 passengers).
The Borneo journey explores the wildlife as well as the indigenous tribes of the world’s third largest island — Borneo is divided by three countries: Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia.
The itinerary includes visiting wildlife sanctuaries, with opportunities to see exotic birds, orangutans and proboscis monkeys.
Also, General Tours has added two days along the upper reaches of the Mekong River as part of an 11-day trip from Thailand to Laos. The tour includes Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai in Thailand and Luang Prabang in Laos as well as visits to several hill tribe villages in Thailand and Laos.
The company has also added an overnight cruise on the Irrawaddy River to its nine-day Visions of Burma itinerary, which also includes stops in Yangon, Mandalay and on the Inle Lake in Myanmar.
Both the Mekong and Myanmar itineraries are part of General Tours’ Small Group Adventures.
