TTC Tour Brands will eventually retire its premium Insight Vacations and budget Costsaver brands, expanding Trafalgar into a "power brand" with five travel categories and three value tiers.

TTC said Costsaver and Insight Vacations will begin operating under Trafalgar's umbrella in 2027. The brand names will remain in 2027 to ease the transition before they are officially retired.

The company says the move will enable advisors to sell through one uncomplicated portfolio, which will be on sale in Q4.

Tour operator Trafalgar strengthened its offerings this year with the introduction of European river cruises and the upcoming debut of small-group tours.

The expanded Trafalgar brand will operate more than 600 itineraries that span 75 countries, offering five travel styles: tours, small groups, river cruises, rail journeys and group sales.

"Bringing these experiences together under Trafalgar allows us to preserve what advisors and their clients value while removing layers that no longer make it easy to do business with us," said deputy CEO and chief sales officer Melissa DaSilva. "We want an advisor to be able to come to Trafalgar with a client and find the right way for them to travel, whether that means a premium tour, a small group, a river cruise or a completely different experience as their needs evolve."

Making choices easier for travel advisors

The three value tiers will be saver, classic and premium, representing the premium offerings Insight Vacations is known for, while classic trips will represent the Trafalgar experience and the saver itineraries will reflect those offered by Costsaver.

Pricing and existing itineraries for 2027 departures are not impacted by the consolidation.

DaSilva said the move will make travel choices easier for advisors and their clients.

"An advisor shouldn't have to navigate the complexity of how our business is organized behind the scenes to find the right vacation for their client," she said. "We believe one trusted brand, with clearly defined ways to travel and value tiers, gives them a simpler way to match the right experience to the right traveler."

Travel advisors can find a hub dedicated to this transition on the company's Travel Agent Portal. A webinar will be held Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. EST.

Correction: In a transition, the Insight Vacations and Costsaver brands will remain in 2027 under Trafalgar before they are retired.
