Intrepid Travel is expanding its premium offerings with the addition of 10 tours.

The adventure travel company will add six tours in Europe and four in North and South America to bring its lineup of Intrepid Premium trips to 97.

Every Intrepid Premium itinerary is led by the tour operator's most experienced leaders and includes a feature stay and signature experience that are not available on other Intrepid trips.

For the first time, Intrepid will operate Premium tours in the Baltics, Balkans and Northern Spain. Other new European premium tours are Belgrade-Bucharest, Sicily and Turkey. In Sicily, the featured stay is two nights in the countryside at Baglio della Luna Foresteria, an estate built within a medieval watch tower.

In North America, the company is operating a 10-day Alaska itinerary. Guests take a private transfer to the Fairbanks rail depot and board a Deluxe Dome rail car traveling to Denali.

Also coming to the Americas are two Costa Rica itineraries and a Patagonia tour. Premium Costa Rica In-Depth has guests spending time with a local family to learn how to create traditional dishes in their kitchen. They also visit Matambu, an indigenous territory of the Chorotegan people, to learn ancient pottery techniques passed down for generations. For two nights, guests stay at a jungle hotel next to the Rio Celeste River.
