New York City Vacation Packages has
ceased operations and filed for bankruptcy liquidation.
In an email to travel advisors holding existing client
reservations, the company said it has filed a petition under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code due
to Covid-19 and that “paying customers will receive notice from the courts
shortly.”
The company, whose web site is no longer accessible, focused on leisure travel to the Big Apple,
including hotel packages and activities, all commissionable to agents.
